Sterling Turf Premium Grade is developed from the best lawn seed cultivars of dwarf ryegrass, fescues and bents. This combines the durability and ease of maintenance of the dwarf ryegrass along with the fescues and bent grasses that give fineness, density and good colour to your lawn. This is our most popular turf and the product that we recommend for the domestic garden.
Landscape Turf has the same characterisitics as our Premium grade but is finished to a budget standard. This is suitable for large landscaped areas, and public open spaces or for the domestic lawn on a budget.

Roll Sizes
Standard roll; one square metre of area, 610mm wide x 1640mm long. This is suitable for general use.
Big Roll; 15 to 20 square metres per roll for professional use only, requiring specialist equipment.
Why Turf ?
The principal benefits of using turf rather than seed to produce a new lawn is the speed of even establishment.
A newly-turfed lawn is normally ready for normal use in a few weeks, whereas it can be up to nine months before a seeded lawn is usable.
The turf supplied by Teal Turf will have taken from 12 to 18 months to bring to maturity. During that time it will have been carefully tended and given everything it needs to make it suitable for lifting and laying in its new home. We do the hard work and take the risks, not you.
Taking into account the care and attention needed to bring a seeded lawn to the same level of growth, density and maturity as a turfed lawn, the ultimate difference in cost is marginal.
